Honorable Jonathan L. Walker

Retired El Paso County Judge, Jonathan L. Walker, has joined the Gasper Law Group team as Of Counsel and provides over forty years’ experience with a wide range of litigation as a Trial Lawyer and as a State Court Judge and Mediator.

In addition to handling an extensive felony caseload as a Public Defender for ten years, trying over one hundred criminal felonies, he also served as County Court Supervisor during his time at the Public Defender’s Office. Having been a County Court Judge for ten years, Mr. Walker brings not only extensive experience as an attorney, but a unique perspective and insight from the judicial side of the legal practice.

Complex Civil litigation is nothing new to Mr. Walker as he has over twenty years of practice in this area; handling matters in eight states and five Federal Courts. Mr. Walker has served as a Mediator in hundreds of cases for Mediation Tribunal Inc. and as a private Mediator in matters for AAA Arbitrator in Michigan.

Mr. Walker received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Prior to that, Mr. Walker served our country in the United States Army as a Staff Sgt. – U.S. Special Forces light weapons specialist.

As a Judge, Mr. Walker was very active in many community service activities including, United Way, The Urban League, Teen Court, The Arc, Mock Trial, Tessa and Cheyenne Village. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors of the Arc and volunteers at other charitable projects and events. The Gasper Law Group, PLLC is honored to have Retired Judge, Jonathan L.
